Personalised Anaesthesia Care with Our Specialised Anaesthesia Team

Personalised Anaesthesia Care with Our Specialised Anaesthesia Team
Dedicated care before, during, and after anaesthesia – for maximum safety and your pet’s well-being.
Your pet’s health is our top priority. That’s why our specially trained anaesthesia professionals (VAT – Veterinary Anaesthesia TechnicianInnen) provide tailored support with empathy, expertise, and modern monitoring technology.
Why Specialised Anaesthesia Supervision Is Important
In many cases, anaesthesia is routinely performed by our TierärztInnen together with experienced veterinary assistants.
However, for certain risk factors, we recommend involving a specialised anaesthesia expert.
These risk factors include:
  • Breed-specific characteristics (e.g. small/giant breeds, brachycephalic breeds)
  • Young animals or those older than 6 years (giant breeds from 4 years)
  • Overweight or underweight animals
  • Pre-existing conditions (e.g. heart, lung, thyroid diseases, diabetes, epilepsy)
  • Pregnancy or lactation
  • Long or complex procedures
  • Previous anaesthetic complications

What Is Monitored During Anaesthesia?
Your pet is continuously observed throughout the entire anaesthetic process.
We use advanced monitoring technology to track:
  • Heart rate and rhythm
  • Respiration and oxygen saturation (SpO₂)
  • Carbon dioxide levels in exhaled air (capnography)
  • Blood pressure
  • Body temperature
  • Anaesthetic depth and reflexes
This uninterrupted monitoring allows us to react quickly to even the slightest change – ensuring your pet’s safety.
What Our Anaesthesia Professionals Do
Our anaesthesia professionals are specially trained and guide your pet through every stage of the procedure – before, during, and after. They:
  • Develop tailored medication plans
  • Continuously monitor vital signs with state-of-the-art equipment
  • Respond immediately and precisely to changes
  • Ensure a stress-free process
  • Often reduce anaesthesia duration
This provides maximum safety – and peace of mind for you as a caring pet owner.
Your Safety. Our Commitment.
