Growth - a mammoth task

Growth is the phase from birth to adulthood, the animal is then "fully grown". During this time, a great many processes take place in the body: not only a considerable increase in size and weight (e.g. in the St. Bernard from 700 g to 70 kg), but also the change of teeth and coat as well as reaching sexual maturity are important stations in the life of a dog or cat.
