On Saturday, October 25, 2025, we will open the doors of VetTrust Small Animal Practice Basel City in the heart of Basel, and we warmly invite all animal lovers to celebrate this special occasion with us!
From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rümelinbachweg 10-12, you can look forward to a diverse program for both two- and four-legged visitors. The whole family will enjoy fascinating insights into our practice, encounters with animal care professionals, and surprises for young and old alike.
A varied program, snacks, drinks, and child-friendly entertainment await you.

Renowned dog photographer Christian Vieler
At our opening event, animal lovers* will have the opportunity to have their dogs professionally photographed by Christian Vieler; known for his iconic snapshots and the series Dogs Catching Treats.
(*A limited number of photo sessions will be available.)

The Foundation Swiss School for Guide Dogs for the Blind Allschwil impressively demonstrates how dogs support people with visual impairments in their daily lives.

THE DOG COACH Oliver Weber
The team led by dog behavior expert Oliver Weber from the DOG COACH Training Center Switzerland will be on site to provide tips on behavior, dog training, and a healthy human-animal bond. Oliver will personally be available to answer questions from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

With face painting, they can be transformed into playful dogs or cats, while colourful balloon figures are sure to amaze.
At the fun first-aid station, children will learn in a simple and engaging way how to help animals in an emergency.
